Park of Sculpture is a comparative study of Taiwan’s "Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park" and Lithuania’s "Grūtas Park." It explores how authoritarian symbols—after undergoing physical exile, spectacle consumption, and digital reconstruction—transform from "monuments" endowed with political gravity into "shells" of weightless digital information.
Contemporary memory is undergoing a technology-driven qualitative change. Utilizing Gaussian Splatting technology, the work reconstructs fragments of images randomly captured by countless tourists (immaterial labor) into a phantom-like, hollow digital field. Here, the historical sense of trauma is dissolved by a "carnivalesque" aesthetics of consumption, and the once-heavy ideological coordinates collapse into smooth, transparent data packets. As Deleuze described, we are transitioning from the power order of "striated space" into the drifting experience of "smooth space." The territory has disappeared; the map now precedes the real.
