Digital Object Sculpture

In my sculpture, I use digital and figurative thinking to reconstruct sculpture, through a mode of thinking that comes from the concept of sculpture and revolves around thinking about how we feel or perceive digital objects, how digitalization appears in our lives and reconstructs our perceptions.

Sculptures about digital objects and digital objects try to think about how we feel or perceive digital objects, how digitalization appears in our lives and reconstruct our perceptions through conceptual thinking that may come from sculpture, from projectors, light from screens, LCD to LED screens, liquid crystals and light emitting diodes, the transmission and translation of signals between devices, coding of images to image files, modeling, numerical values, and bits. How we feel or perceive digital objects, how digitization appears in our lives, and reconfigures our perceptions.

The sculpture-image works in the UV-MAP series deconstruct the conceptual elements of sculpture by dismantling them, and thinking about the image through the concept of sculpture, how the image has the elements of sculpture such as solidity, volume, texture, continuity, tactility, etc. Through the dialectic between the relationship between the image and the sculpture, we think about how the image as a sculpture can have a body of image, and construct a kind of body of image.
