term “simp” in this work comes from “simp/
simping” used in the VTuber culture to
describe the relationship of the fans and
audience with the VTubers, streamers, and live
streamers, satirizing the over-commitment
of emotions, money, and real life from fans
of the extreme level behind the screens. This
work uses the concept of “simp relationship”
formed between the viewers and the virtual
images. This creation is a reflection of the
particular relationship and linkage of people
with the digital interface and virtual images,
as well as the absolute objective existential
state of the virtual images being the projected
and reflected desire.
