Simply in love with … The term “simp” in this work comes from “simp/simping” used in the VTuber culture to describe the relationship of the fans and audience with the VTubers, streamers, and live streamers, satirizing the over-commitment of emotions, money, and real life from fans of the extreme level behind the screens. This work uses the concept of “simp relationship” formed between the viewers and the virtual images. This creation is a reflection of the particular relationship and linkage of people with the digital interface and virtual images, as well as the absolute objective existential state of the virtual images being the projected and reflected desire.

創作啟發自線上遊戲、VRchat與虛擬實境及其數位技術特性,嘗以多重夢境經驗及虛擬實境技術為啟發,開展敘事與影像畫面。多重身體由外向內殼層傳遞,如同3D模型角色與身體邊界的殼層化狀態,將殼層化身體結合網路愛情、虛擬性戀(Fictosexual)與替身性愛思考一種流動狀態的網路酷兒與感官身體,並以3D模型殼層化的型態與數位遊戲視覺的破圖形成的內空間與外空間的交疊,創造出多重宇宙空間的中介區,多重空間綿延的夢境影像。

Inspired by online games, VRchat, virtual reality, and their digital technology characteristics, this creation attempts to use multiple dream experiences and virtual reality technology to enlighten and develop narratives and images. The multiple bodies undergo a shell transmission from the outside to the inside, resulting in a shelled body integration with fictional romance, fictosexual, and surrogate sex that ponders the fluid state of online queers and sensory bodies. Also, the 3D-modeled shelled forms and the GFX glitches in digital game visuals shape the overlapping of the internal and external spaces, creating an intermediary space within the multiple–universe space — the dream images extended from the multiple spaces.
